Sales Manager
$160K Base + circa 50% commission
Location: California
The employer specialises in the intralogistics, automation, and mobile robotics industry, and is a global leader with over 22,000 mobile robots deployed worldwide, and supports customers across 50+ industries to optimise logistics and manufacturing efficiency. They have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Manager - Mobile Robotics to join their team. This position is well-suited to a commercially driven, consultative sales professional who is looking to grow strategic accounts and drive large-scale automation solutions across the US market.
This position is based in the Sales department and answers to the Sales Director. You will develop new customer relationships, manage key accounts, and drive revenue growth through solution-based selling of mobile robotics systems.
Responsibilities:
* Generate new orders by planning and executing sales strategies aligned with customer business needs
* Develop and manage new and existing customer accounts across assigned territories
* Sell mobile robots, automation solutions, and related services including engineering, installation, commissioning, and aftermarket support
* Achieve and exceed sales quotas through new business development and account growth
* Manage large enterprise accounts, partners, and third-party stakeholders
* Maintain and grow market share within assigned regions
* Lead customer engagement activities including site visits, needs analysis, solution configuration, and proposal development
* Collaborate with Solution Engineers to develop tailored automation solutions
* Negotiate pricing and contract terms and close sales opportunities
* Utilize CRM tools to manage pipelines, forecasting, and opportunity tracking
Requirements:
* Proven experience within the US logistics and automation industry
* Strong advantage for candidates with mobile robotics or fulfilment solution experience
* Demonstrated success in consultative, solution-based sales environments
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple sales opportunities and projects simultaneously
* Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
* Proficiency with CRM systems
* Comfortable working in a multicultural, global business environment
* Willingness to travel approximately 60-80% of the time
* Strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities
