Are you an experienced Panel Builder who can also deliver electrical design? This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on engineer to join a dynamic organisation where your skills will make a real impact.
We are seeking a Panel Designer & Builder with 5-15 years of experience (more experienced candidates are also encouraged to apply) who can manage the full lifecycle-from designing large-scale electrical panels to building and testing them on site.
What You'll Be Doing
Panel Building (70%)
Build and test large control panels (up to 2m high) in-houseConnect electrical equipment, test cables, and update drawings/documentationOrganise transport of equipment and panels to/from sitesMaintain a safe, clean, and efficient workshopElectrical Design (30%)
Create and update electrical drawings (EPLAN experience preferred)Support documentation and design improvementsAdditional Responsibilities (10%)
Purchase and track equipment for projectsLiaise with suppliers and manage missing ordersTravel occasionally (approx. 20%, UK and abroad) for installations and testingOpportunity to do overtimeAbout You
5-15+ years' experience in panel building and electrical design (20+ years also welcome)Skilled in both hands-on panel assembly and creating electrical schematicsComfortable working with various voltages (24V AC/DC; 240V AC; 415V AC)Familiar with EPLAN or similar CAD tools (training can be considered)Knowledge of conveyor or robotic systems is an advantagePLC/HMI programming exposure (Siemens/Allen Bradley) is a plusStrong organisational and communication skillsAble to travel for site work when requiredInterested?
