We are seeking a motivated Project Manager to oversee the design and construction of turnkey Warehouse Automation Systems (WAS) projects across the United States.
This role will manage all aspects of project delivery-from planning and scheduling through execution and closeout-while ensuring alignment with company objectives, performance targets, and customer expectations.
Reporting to a Senior Project Manager, this position is ideal for an individual with hands-on experience in project planning and control who is looking to grow within a dynamic, fast-paced industrial automation and engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Fulfill all contractual obligations and ensure adherence to project constraints.
* Operate in accordance with company policies, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to align technical, commercial, and operational objectives.
* Achieve defined financial and performance targets, including Economic Value Added (EVA).
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date project data in company information systems.
* Monitor and control project progress, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
* Identify, assess, and manage project risks, reporting updates to the company's Risk Management Authority.
* Manage project scope changes in accordance with contractual and internal processes.
* Develop, update, and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 (mandatory) and other planning tools.
* Manage and evaluate subcontractors and system integrators to ensure compliance with cost, quality, and schedule requirements.
* Promote and maintain a safe working environment, including safety analyses, rigging and lifting plans, environmental risk assessments, and regular site audits.
* Oversee the QA/QC process to ensure project deliverables meet required technical and operational standards.
* Create, prioritize, and manage the project action item list.
* Maintain accurate as-built documentation, system drawings, and punch lists.
* Prepare and distribute detailed periodic project progress reports.
Qualifications and Experience
Mandatory Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Warehouse Automation Systems, material handling systems, intralogistics, or construction project management within industrial or distribution environments.
* Proven experience in planning, scheduling, and controlling complex projects using Primavera P6 (mandatory).
* Strong understanding of project planning principles, including critical path method (CPM), resource allocation, earned value analysis, and schedule risk management.
* Experience with budget management, cost control, and financial performance tracking.
* Solid knowledge of engineering, procurement, manufacturing, installation, integration, and commissioning processes for automated systems.
* Demonstrated experience in risk management, quality control, and contract administration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
* PMP certification or equivalent project management qualification.
* Experience with automated warehouse technologies such as conveyors, sortation systems, AS/RS, robotics, WMS/WCS integration, or material handling equipment.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
* Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple contractors and vendors.
