Our client, a global leader in advanced energy and high-technology manufacturing, is seeking experienced Automation Engineers to support the commissioning, testing, and ramp-up of a large-scale, next-generation battery cell production facility.

This role sits at the intersection of automation, data integration, and manufacturing systems, with a strong focus on machine interfaces, MES integration, and end-to-end validation during a critical production ramp-up phase.

The Role

You will act as a key interface between shopfloor equipment, automation systems, and MES, ensuring seamless communication, validation, and performance across highly automated production lines.

Working closely with machine suppliers and internal stakeholders, you will support commissioning, testing, and production readiness, ensuring systems are aligned with defined automation standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesSupport all project phases from planning through to handoverExecute and support:Acceptance testingCold & hot commissioningRamp-up of production systemsPerform end-to-end (E2E) testing of machine-to-MES data interfacesValidate data integrity, functionality, and performance across systemsReview and align systems against automation standards, identifying deviationsWork closely with machine suppliers to resolve issues and optimise interfacesParticipate in technical alignment meetings and drive improvementsTrack and report progress across commissioning and testing activitiesSupport MES rollout across production areasProduce and maintain clear technical documentationKey Technical RequirementsStrong background in industrial automation (5-10+ years)Proven experience in commissioning and integration of automated systemsHands-on PLC programming (Siemens essential, Beckhoff/Omron beneficial)Experience with MES integration and OT/IT data flowsStrong knowledge of industrial communication protocols:OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, Profinet, EtherCATAbility to test, validate, and troubleshoot data interfacesExperience reviewing:Machine control architecturePLC & HMI standardsUnderstanding of:PackML & ISA-88 conceptsOT network structuresAbility to read and interpret EPLAN documentationStructured approach to documentation and reportingAdditional Experience (Highly Desirable)Battery manufacturing or high-volume production environmentsExperience working with multiple machine suppliers in complex projectsExposure to API-based integrationsMultilingual skills (German and/or Chinese beneficial)Working RequirementsOnsite role in GermanyFlexibility to support shift patterns and weekend work during commissioningAvailable for long-term contract engagementWhy Apply?

Senior International Sales Manager (DACH)

We are looking for an Experienced International Area Manager to drive commercial development and expand our client`s footprint in the assigned territory - DACH region.

The role focuses on active prospecting of public and private clients, including:

Public transport operators, municipalities, and other public-sector organizationsFleet operators, leasing companies, and corporate transport providers

You will coordinate closely with a local agent/distributor representing our company, ensuring alignment on strategy, pipeline development, and sales execution, while reporting directly to the International Sales Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Actively identify and develop new business opportunities in the public and private sectorsManage the full sales cycle: prospecting, negotiation and contract closureIdentify customer needs with the aim of promoting the range of products produced by the companyExperience with public bids, rules and laws of procurement tenders, processes and analysis (ability to evaluate tender documents in detail and filter those which the company can participate in)Strong technical and product knowledge to explain in detail to potential customersCoordinate and support activities of the local agent/distributorDefine and execute regional commercial strategy in alignment with HQMonitor market trends, competitors, and regulatory requirementsPrepare structured reports, sales forecasts, and pipeline updatesEnsure high standards of after-sales support through the local distributor/agent networkConduct regular visits to key customers and fleet operatorsSupport local marketing events, exhibitions and product demonstrationsCollect market and product feedback and report insights to HQ to support product improvements

Requirements:

4+ years of international B2B sales experience, preferably in bus manufacturing, commercial vehicles or industrial equipmentWillingness to undergo technical product trainingStrong track record in market expansion and business developmentExperience managing or coordinating distributors/agentsExperience with public tenders and procurement processesNative speaker in the language of the Territory assigned; Fluent English; Additional European language is considered a plusAvailability for frequent travel (40-60%)

Technical Skills

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)Experience with CRM systems and reporting toolsAbility to analyze data, prepare forecasts, and generate structured commercial reports

Our client, a global leader in advanced energy and high-technology manufacturing, is seeking experienced Automation Data Interface Engineers to support the commissioning and ramp-up of a next-generation, large-scale battery cell production facility in Germany. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in bringing one of Europe's most technologically advanced gigafactory environments into full production.

This role will focus on integrating shop-floor automation equipment with higher-level manufacturing and enterprise systems, ensuring reliable, high-performance data flow, validation, and operational stability during a critical production ramp-up phase.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidates will act as a key technical interface between manufacturing equipment, OT systems, and MES platforms, enabling seamless communication across automation and digital manufacturing layers. You will play a critical role in ensuring production reliability, data integrity, and performance optimisation across highly automated production lines.

Requirements:

5-10 years of experience in industrial automation within high-performance manufacturing environments
* Battery cell production experience highly advantageous
* Fluent in English and/or German (Chinese language skills beneficial)
* Strong controls engineering foundation with hands-on PLC programming experience
* Willingness to work onsite and support shift operations (early and late shifts)
* Flexibility to support weekend activities during commissioning and ramp-up phases
* Ideally based within reasonable commuting distance or available for long-term onsite engagement

Desired Experience:

Commissioning and validation of data interfaces between shopfloor manufacturing equipment and higher-level digital systems
* Strong knowledge of industrial data models, collection technologies, and protocols such as OPC-UA, MQTT, and JSON Nodesets
* Experience performing data validation, integrity, and plausibility checks
* Hands-on experience testing and integrating MES systems and OT gateways (northbound and southbound communication)
* PLC programming experience, primarily Siemens, with exposure to Beckhoff and/or Omron highly beneficial
