We are seeking a Senior Field Service Team Lead to head up a Field Service team delivering engineering support and maintenance across the full product lifecycle at customer sites. This role ensures installation, testing, and service activities meet all regulatory and contractual requirements.
The Role
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Senior Field Service Team Lead will:
Lead a team of engineers in installation, commissioning, and ongoing support at customer locationsPlan, prioritise, and execute field service activities efficiently and safelyEnsure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standardsMentor and manage the Field Service Team to maximise effectivenessKey Responsibilities
Assist the Project Manager in planning engineering support activities, including assembly and testing of equipment and cablingLead the team in installation and commissioning of project equipment according to project plansConduct hands-on installation and "setting to work" activitiesMaintain and support routine maintenance cycles, ensuring compliance with legal and quality standardsSupport obsolescence management and lifecycle maintenance activitiesApply first-line leadership skills to manage, motivate, and develop the Field Service TeamWhat We're Looking For
Experience with electrical/electronic systems, ideally in maritime or defence environmentsProven ability to lead and manage a field-based engineering teamWillingness and ability to travel extensively in the UK and internationally at short noticeExperience with safety and regulatory standards, including risk assessment and mitigationAbility to produce and maintain project and technical documentationExperience supporting sea or land trials and maintaining equipmentStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsKnowledge of acoustics and computer networks (desirable)Ability to work in confined spaces where requiredQualifications, Skills & Requirements
Engineering qualification (minimum HND or equivalent)Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC or DV)Sole UK nationality requiredFull UK driving licenceWillingness to travel within the UK and internationallyGood computer literacyWorking Hours
