The Client:

With continued growth across the logistics, e-commerce, retail, manufacturing and distribution sectors, they are now seeking an experienced and commercially driven BDM to support expansion across the VIC market (and beyond).

This role will focus heavily on developing new business opportunities, building strategic customer relationships and identifying solutions that improve operational performance for customers across warehousing, fulfilment and industrial environments.

The business operates within a project-based technical sales environment, delivering tailored automation and materials handling solutions ranging from smaller upgrades through to larger-scale multimillion-dollar projects.

Your Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of new business opportunities across target markets.
* Identify customer challenges and position tailored automation and materials handling solutions.
* Conduct market analysis and identify growth opportunities across relevant industry sectors.

About You:
You are commercially minded, proactive and confident building relationships in technical sales environments. You enjoy consultative selling, understanding operational processes and helping customers identify efficiency and automation opportunities.

You Bring:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in B2B sales or business development.
* Exposure to warehouse automation, conveyor systems, AS/RS, AMRs, robotics, industrial automation, materials handling or related sectors.
* Strong business development capability with confidence generating and developing new opportunities.
* Experience selling project-based ($1M+) or long-cycle technical solutions.
* Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively across technical and commercial teams.
* Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
* CAD capability or technical layout conceptualisation experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

You communicate confidently at all levels - from site supervisors through to executive steering committees - and you take pride in delivering high-impact automation programs that transform distribution centre performance.

You Bring:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or a related field.
* 5+ years' experience in project and/or vendor management within supply chain or automation environments.
* Demonstrated experience delivering automation, robotics, conveyor and racking system implementations.
* Proven brownfield site delivery experience (greenfield exposure also valued).
* Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional, multi-stakeholder programs.
* Strong understanding of project management methodologies and governance frameworks.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capability.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving and multitasking abilities in fast-paced environments.

Our Client:
A global tier 1 automation and intralogistics leader is seeking a customer-focused, technically strong and commercially astute Senior Solutions Engineer to join their growing VIC team.

With recent growth and project wins - including a $35M warehouse automation deployment in Melbourne - the business is investing heavily in Autonomous Mobile Robotics (AMR) and integrated distribution centre solutions across ANZ.

In this role, you will take full ownership of complex AMR projects from early-stage discovery through to implementation, go-live and optimisation. This is not purely a design role - it is end-to-end technical leadership across live operational environments.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead technical consulting and solution design for complex AMR and warehouse automation deployments.
* Own projects end-to-end - from pre-sales scoping, discovery and solution modelling through to implementation and optimisation.
* Act as the senior technical authority bridging commercial strategy, engineering and delivery execution.
* Serve as the primary client technical contact throughout implementation and deployment phases.
* Conduct operational discovery including site visits, workshops, future-state process design and assumptions modelling.
* Translate warehouse operational data into engineered, investment-ready automation solutions.
* Design integrated automated and manual DC workflows and system architectures.
* Develop AutoCAD layouts, system sizing, cost estimates, timelines and deployment strategies.
* Ensure OH&S and compliance standards are upheld across all deployments.
* Mentor and guide engineering team members across design, testing and documentation.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives across projects and post-delivery support models.

About You:
You are a confident, client-facing senior solutions professional with strong operational insight and commercial judgement. You understand live warehouse environments and how automation integrates into real-world DC operations.
You enjoy translating complexity into practical engineered solutions and take accountability beyond concept design through to successful delivery.

You Bring:
* 5+ years operational experience within warehousing, logistics or distribution environments.
* Strong knowledge of warehouse automation and AMR systems.
* Proven experience designing integrated automated + manual DC operations.
* Advanced AutoCAD skills (essential).
* Strong analytical capability - able to convert operational data into engineered solutions.
* Experience across pre-sales, solution design and project delivery environments.
* A personable, proactive and collaborative mindset with the confidence to influence stakeholders.
