Freelance Project Manager
Location: Remote with traveling to the sites in Europe
Type of employment: Freelance
Duration: initial 1 year + extension possibilities
We are seeking a seasoned Freelance Project Manager to lead the installation and deployment of X-ray screening systems across distribution centres in Europe. The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex technical installations within logistics or industrial environments, with a strong focus on coordination, compliance, and on-site execution.
Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end project management of X-ray system installations across multiple European distribution centresPlan, coordinate, and oversee on-site installation activities, ensuring alignment with project timelines and operational requirementsCollaborate with internal stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and technical requirementsDevelop and manage detailed project plans, including schedules, milestones, and risk mitigation strategiesCoordinate with suppliers, installation teams, and site operations to ensure smooth execution and minimal disruption to ongoing operationsMonitor project progress, identify risks or delays, and implement corrective actions as neededEnsure compliance with safety regulations, site standards, and relevant security requirementsManage budgets, track costs, and provide regular project updates and reportingFacilitate communication between cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and external vendors
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or related field) or equivalent practical experienceProven experience in project management of technical installations within logistics, industrial, or infrastructure environmentsExperience working on-site in operational facilities (e.g., warehouses, distribution centres)Strong understanding of installation, commissioning, and coordination of technical equipmentFamiliarity with safety and compliance requirements in industrial environmentsProject management certification and proficiency in PM toolsExcellent organizational, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skillsAbility to manage multiple sites and projects across different European locationsFluent in English;

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive PMO specialist professional to join our team and contribute to the success of our ERP Implementation Program. The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a PMO consultant, preferably within ERP implementation programs in multinational environments, and possess strong organizational and planning skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain program governance routines and support steering committee preparation.
- Operate and manage the integrated program plan, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Track risks, issues, and actions (RAID) and support mitigation planning.
- Produce weekly/monthly dashboards, KPIs, and executive reports.
- Facilitate cross-team alignment, workshops, and decision-making sessions.
- Maintain PMO standards, templates, and documentation quality.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Project Management, or similar.
- 3-5 years of PMO or project/program support experience in complex environments.
- Experience within ERP implementation programs (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of planning, reporting, and RAID processes.
- Excellent command of Dutch and English (verbal and written).
- Expert in PowerPoint and creative with visuals- able to translate complex information into strong executive presentations.
- Skilled with PM tools (MS Excel, MS Project, Power BI, Planner, etc.).
- Strong organizational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
