Urgent requirement for experienced Switchgear Technician to work on site installing, repairing and maintaining electrical Switchgear for our customers, you will join an existing electrical engineering team and be required to be out on site but also support in the workshop as and when required. This hands-on role involves performing switchgear maintenance and, when required, assisting with switchgear assembly either in the factory or on-site alongside AC switchgear technicians.
Key ResponsibilitiesSite Work
* Perform on-site servicing, preventative maintenance, repairs, and testing of DC and AC switchgear.
* Identify and help resolve potential risks associated with site work projects.
* Prepare detailed written service reports and technical recommendations.
Manufacturing and Assembly
* Interpret wiring schematics and general arrangement drawings.
* Lay out, assemble, and wire electrical panels.
* Conduct preparation of metalwork, cabling, control wiring, and copper busbar work

Wireman/ Site Engineer required to work for a leading specialist in panel wiring and switchgear manufacturing for a range of industries. This is a key role to the business where you would be required to work on site and carry out maintenance, repair and fault finding on a range of panels and Switchgear. Although this is a field-based role when there are no field based requirements you will be required to assembe panels in the factory.
DC switchgear experience is not necessary, however ability to read engineering diagrams, circuit diagrams etc is. Proven record of working on switchgear, control panels, busbars etc
We are looking for candidates who are willing to take part in any training courses relevant to the position. This is a Safety Critical Role, as such you will be required to pass a PTS medical.
Engineer Key Responsibilities:
Site based Work:
On-site service, preventative maintenance, repairs and testing of DC and AC switchgear.Help identify and resolve potential risks for site work projects.Provide on-site customer support, problem solving and lateral thinking solutions.Provide detailed written reports, and working recommendations.On-call duties as part of a call out service.When not on site you will be assembling switchgear products in the factory (As below)Training will be provided.Manufacturing and Assembly:

ECS CardPTSAs a site Engineer you will also be part of an on call roster and will be expected to attend weekday daytime call outs.
