Machine Operator Required to work manufacturing company based in St. Neots

Location: St. Neots

Hours: 2pm - 10pm Monday - Friday

Pay: £13.50 - £15.00 per hour

Overview of the role:

Key Responsibilities:

Operate production machinery in a safe and efficient manner.Conduct routine quality checks on products.Pack and prepare products for dispatch according to specifications.Maintain cleanliness and organisation on the production floor.Follow all company health & safety policies and procedures.Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues.

Candidate Requirements:

Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is beneficial but not essential - full training will be provided..Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes accurately.Physically fit and capable of standing for extended periods.Good communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitudePunctual and dependable

Multi-Skilled Shift Maintenance Engineer required to work for a manufacturing company based in Huntingdon.

Responsibilities:

Complete weekly tasks for maintenance activities.Prioritise urgent maintenance requests within current workload.Carry-out maintenance tasks dependent on approved skill level.Co-ordinate outside contractors (pending Operations Director's approval).Working with the Manufacturing Engineering Department, you will be cut and assemble production tooling: Jigs and fixtures, and hotwire tooling.Highlight problem areas to management as required.

Job Requirements:

Education Required - Maintenance/engineering discipline.

Profile

The successful candidate will be electrically or mechanically qualified with experience of hydraulics, pneumatics, welding and/or fabrication. If you have these qualities, we would like to hear from you

Hours: (Weekly Rotation)

Monday to Friday, 6.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m.Monday to Thursday, 1.30 p.m. to 11.30 p.m.Sunday night start up once/twice a month - 10.30 p.m. to 6.30 a.m.

Pay:

Pay £16 - £18 per hour (Dependent on Experience)

Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerform planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on production equipment and site facilities.
* Support manufacturing operations by responding effectively to breakdowns and unplanned downtime.
* Apply structured problem-solving techniques (RCA, 5-Why, fault tree analysis) to resolve recurring issues.
* Execute preventative maintenance tasks in line with CMMS schedules and asset strategies.
* Maintain accurate maintenance records, ensuring full traceability of work completed.
* Use maintenance and downtime data to identify trends and recommend reliability improvements.
* Support spare parts control, stock optimisation, and supplier coordination.

This role combines professional plant operation with hands‑on site leadership. You will represent the company on client sites, ensuring safe, efficient and high‑quality installation of primarily temporary trackway systems using a 360° wheeled excavator. There will also be installation operations of other non- mechanical plant and equipment required.

Key Responsibilities:

Operating a 360° wheeled excavator to install, lift and position temporary trackway panelsSupervising site teams and ensuring work is completed safely and to specificationConducting on‑site risk assessments and toolbox talksCoordinating vehicle movements, labour and installation methodsLiaising with clients and site managers to ensure smooth project deliveryMaintaining plant to high standards and reporting defectsEnsuring compliance with H&S regulations at all times

What We're Looking For

Valid CPCS or NPORS 360° Excavator (Wheeled) qualificationDemonstrable experience operating 360° machines in a construction or installation environmentValid CSCS cardSSSTS qualification preferredUp to date Safety Critical Medical Preffered.Class 1/2 driving licence would be preferableStrong understanding of site safety and leadership responsibilitiesFull UK driving licence (towing experience)Ability to work away from home when required including overnight staysReliability, communication skills and a proactive attitude
